We stayed here and we were told on arrival that our room wasn't available for us to stay in despite us having travelled all day to get there for an event. After hours of getting no where, the manager came and let us stay as it was only for a few nights. Not worth the stress and ended up being late to our event! The shower was blasting very hot water, the beds weren't comfortable and breakfast was a farce! Do not go with this hotel, better off spending some more money for a peace of mind and better service. This hotel is not worth the stress to stay at. Go somewhere else!

Filthy. Tramps drinking in the hallways and outside of the hotel doors. Manager did nothing to stop this. Only stay here if your homeless but even then you might have a better sleep on a park bench. Would leave 0 stars if I could

Stayed here for a tattoo course that I booked in to uk official tattoo academy. Left my bag accidentally and was charged for an extra day.

Stayed for one night with my wife as we were celebrating a friends birthday. Upon arrival found the car park is very small, we were told there is more parking off site. Reception was nice enough. Finding the room was a challenge as the hotel is old and not very well laid out. The room was clean, as was the attached bathroom. This was 2 small steps up from the room which made the bathroom ceiling very low. The in wall shower did not work and you have to use the little spray head from the mixer tap which was rubbish. The extractor family also did not work. Coming out of the bathroom it is easy to slip and fall down the 2 step (which I found out narrowly avoiding serious injury). Room is very dated, old plug sockets with no USB provision which is a must nowadays. Breakfast was a buffet affair which was ok. All in all for the money I would rather have stayed in a travelodge.

Don't do an evening meal, corridors smells of weed,beds like concrete. Room was cold. Limited parking. Walls are a bit thin as there was alot of Screaming next-door... someone enjoyed it!.

Stayed at this hotel many times, but the standards have definitely dropped! Rude staff on reception, room was double booked. Had a 6 night booking, only stayed one night. Was given a room with no windows, freezing cold, heating not working. Was advised to email head office and complain. Sent email one month ago and still had no response. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

Well located hotel. Rooms are cosy and well equipped. High Street is only 5-10 minutes walk away. 24-hour reception staff is available to help your stay. Their breakfast can use some new options other than that money is well spent.

Stayed for 1 night for a family party nearby and paid £95 which I didn’t think was ‘cheap’ I would say this hotel should cost £60 a night at best!
I would definitely not recommend this hotel, when we arrived it looks lovely from the outside, when we checked in they sent us across the road to the other site which was awful, the room smelt so strong of smoke as we walked in, decor very dated, stains all over the carpets/bedding/curtains, the ceilings are covered in mould which is a health hazard! The bathroom had no soap in the dispensers and the tiles were coming off the walls.
Like I say if the room was a more reasonable rate I wouldn’t have written this review, but to charge £95 and have it in that state I felt I had to. Absolutely rip off!

It's been a while since I last stayed here, standards have claerly dropped! The room(232) felt cold and there us no way of turning on the heating.
Bedding was in dire need of replacement (duvet) but was clean and presented nicely.
Shower head was dirty and full of scale, the bath was chipped smd had cigarette burns on the side, the plug was not attached to the bath itself by a chain and had some kind of makeshift braided loop attached to it which was filthy.
Car parking is very cramped, if you are lucky enough to find a space and you are not guaranteed to be given a space.
My room key card did not work and had to go back to reception twice to get it fixed before staff offered to come and look at the issue. This then worked fine after it was "looked" at for some minutes
Apart from these issues, staff were generally pleasant upon check in.
At breakfast it's a bit of a free for all. Staff were unhelpful, miserable and seemed to mutter to themselves whilst walking round the room.
Food was OK when available, the self service buffet was infrequently replenished and there are no pastries available. The coffee machine was filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned if wiped down for a while.
Overall, a contrast to my previous visits meaning I'll not be visiting again, however, that said if you are not fussy it's acceptable just for a 'stop-over'
